One night i was at a party and drank some "crowd pleaser" this big alcholic mixture with gatorade, sprite....?

and vodka. Well i had 3 cups of it and i was extremely drunk * cant walk straight vision blurry* well the next night i drank the exact same stuff but i drank 3 times as much and wasnt nearly as drunk as the night before. What Happened? How was i not as drunk the next night?
