I would like to know how much this doent is worth. It is a check written by the Confederacy to my family. ?

This paper is signed by Jefferson Davis(confederacy president) and is made out to my great-great-great grandfather for $3500. Could this doent be redemed for money for the US government? I don't think that it could be though. How much would a mesuem or collctor pay for this? Please give accurate information and a description. I am not looking to sell this doent anyway, just my curiousity. Thanks.
