Fridge had a fire hazard part recall. it's replaced and still 80-90 degrees?

the part was replaced in the back of the maytag fridge but inside where the rubber seal meets the fridge in the front where the temp setting lights up the temp still goes to 80-90 degrees.i called the landlord and she said maytag said that its o.k. i worry about fire hazard.
